Celebrate the Freedom to Read: Banned Books Week
Banned Books Week (September 27 - October 4) reminds Americans not to take the freedom to read for granted. As you visit Boatwright Library this week, note the signs along the walkway to the library and browse the displays of challenged books in the library.

International Film Series Opens September 12
The University of Richmond's 20th Annual International Film Series opens on September 12, 2008, featuring the highly acclaimed film, The Edge of Heaven (Turkey/Germany, 2007). The fall series features films from a wide variety of countries, including Israel, Turkey, China and Argentina. A special African film series will be featured the weekend of November 7 and 8. Library 100 Classes Begin for First Year Students
Library 100 classes begin on September 1 and continue through September 30 for first year students. The 75-minute class session introduces first year students to the many resources that Boatwright Library offers through its website and print collections.
